The GB 2 Earth “INVEST hub”

On this page you can find the GB 2 Earth “INVEST hub”:

  1. gb2earth.com/invest introduces the background to the “Secrecy Plus: solve a complex world” proposal, with quite a complex (in itself) business structure, designed to prevent from the outset predatory competition:

    • It’s based on the business figure of the IKEA franchise, with three layers of business activity, the top layer being the owner of the whole: an owner which cannot be bought or sold on the open market. It’s similar in its outcomes to the UK newspaper The Guardian’s Scott Trust as was (it’s now a limited company with similar attributes).

    • The “Investor slide-deck” further down the page describes the ramifications of all of this in more detail.

  2. The “INVEST hub” is now expanded to include two more pages:

    1. gb2earth.com/invest-sec — for investors interested only in operating in security and related domains (the military, law-enforcement, espionage, geopolitical strategising, etc.). If this is your area of interest, click through now.

    2. gb2earth.com/invest-all — for investors interested in operating in everything except security and related domains. If this is your area of interest, click through now.

  3. The importance of making this distinction lies in the wisdom, or no, of unleashing highly disruptive technologies on an open market:

    1. If we propose the only market involves b2gov and gov2gov funders and clients, when we ensure the right safeguards are in place we can go much further in our technology ambitions.

    2. If we suggest we should allow a wider group of citizens to access privacy-sensitive architectures and upwards, we should surely wish to avoid the destructive consequences on society recently seen with the actions of such indiscriminate release policies in the field of generative AI.

More in the brief selection of slides below, taken from the online whitepaper at gb2earth.com/six (which more widely serves to outline six basic principles that inform and infuse everything being done on this site):

This online whitepaper should be read in conjunction with “The Intuition Lab: smart warfare” proposals, also on GB 2 Earth. These can be found here:

If we want to preach sustainable and inclusive business, we have to be consistent in respect of how we scope, design, market and manufacture too.

The problem

Traditional startup ecosystems are designed to solve one problem only: how to invoice the potential customer as quickly as possible.

Why is this a problem?

For individuals and companies in a competitive market, it’s just what they need.

For a global society, it leaves the really complex problems untouched.

Why?

Because traditional startup ecosystems were designed to avoid complex problems, since addressing them would not solve the problem they were set up to deliver on: invoicing the potential customer as quickly as possible.

The background

Yesterday, 19th January 2024, whilst in Chester UK at the Storyhouse culture complex, I posted the following LinkedIn series of notes:

This is now republished below, in very slightly amended form:

"Powered by Secrecy Plus"

i've been reading up on the subject in the below link:

https://businessmodelanalyst.com/who-owns-ikea/

i'm moving, as a result, to the following conclusions:

• we set up one corporation for essentially the whole activity of #intuitionvalidation.

• i was going to license my ideas, but this would show a lack of commitment on my part. if we use the attached model as a template, locating the core legal figure in #stockholm and therefore #sweden/#sverige, i am now moving to suggesting that the hq be called #secrecyplus, and that it works in the same way as the above discussed, with the #franchise model being used in at the start.

• all of #gb2earthcom, #sverige2earth, and #secrecyplus as it stands -- as well as any other ideas and/or projects i've had over the years -- now sit, fully sold into, in this interestingly #swedish structure which IKEA is a particularly good manifestation of.

• i'd have done it for the innate capability to innovate which the #norden demonstrate since forever.

• but actually, we will now do it for solid global business reasons, reasons which we will all benefit from:

1. rapid growth globally via sophisticated #franchise processes that guarantee quality and homogenous delivery across the planet.
2. freedom to locate a workstream/series of workstreams as soon as they become a validated, standalone project/set of projects in their own right.
3. investor-friendly structures from the outset, with well-understood business practices.
4. the structure also addresses the fears of #predatorytech i've had since the start of my #intuitionvalidationengine journeys. the IKEA template makes it impossible, in much the same way i guess that The Guardian's #scotttrust also does in the field of journalism and media.

so: to summarise ...

corporate name: secrecy plus
location: stockholm, sweden
legal structure: exactly as per IKEA

first franchises:
gb 2 earth -- uk
eire 2 earth -- ireland
sverige 2 earth -- sweden
secrecy plus (us) -- us

and possibly one, maximum two, more on the starting-block

"Powered by Secrecy Plus"

I then added in a further comment, as follows:

of course, what this means is that any group of investors with a particular affinity to a city, city or country region, or nation-state can propose it be able to buy into the franchise when the moment best suits them.

the flexibility to pick and mix product, service, platforms, levels of privacy sensitive (at least) through to secrecy positive (at max), as well as tech philosophies and other aspects of all my ideas, is now total:

1. workstream a — privacy sensitive

2. workstream b — privacy positive

3. workstream c — secrecy sensitive

4. workstream d — secrecy positive

we have the guarantor level of the #ikea structure as an umbrella that protects and informs everything else that then will follow.

this idea and conceptualisation is growing on me in leaps and bounds by the minute.

it really is.

i can't see why anyone wouldn't wish to invest in these ideas -- now, entirely on their own terms.

can you?

The two slide decks: an overview

  1. Slide-deck 1 describes:

    1. The virtues of the franchise approach for the Secrecy Plus franchisees — investors in their own right in their own businesses and models, related to the delivery of products and services using the tools, platforms and software architectures we have been proposing & ideating for seven years now.

    2. It also describes how the “pick & mix” franchise approach to such secrecy positive environments allows for the security philosophies of all communities — cities, city and/or national regions, and to as large as entire nation-states and continental/global relationships — to be easily be catered to:

      1. No one is forced into a box by others’ legitimate preferences, concerns and approaches.

      2. No one is prevented from thinking out of the boxes that most enable their own approaches, even when not for others.

  2. Slide-deck 2 describes:

    1. The rationale behind the Foundation + Holding structure I’m firmly convinced must be used, mirroring exactly IKEA’s own recently historical constitution.

    2. If the products and services we collectively sell require different security and related philosophies depending on the community (cities, city and/or national regions, and to as large as entire nation-states and continental/global relationships), we should accommodate these realities, systemically and by design, from the beginning.

      1. That is, most of us will already be comfortable with privacy positive architectures (using software and operating systems as they stand; little if any invention, just about entirely innovation). Let’s allow this, then, to be sold under the “Powered by Secrecy Plus” banner, throughout the product and service lifecycles in question.

      2. However, many will not be as convinced right now that the virtues of secrecy positive outweigh the potential risks (new software architectures that replicate the secrecy levels of paper & pencil in digital in order to promote nonconformist, creative thinking to the max; practically all invention, and very little need for innovation). Let’s not force, then, those who would otherwise benefit more comfortably on their own terms to “take it or leave it”. If we want to preach sustainable and inclusive business, we have to be consistent in respect of how we scope, design, market and manufacture too.
